As I embark my last semester of undergraduate education at The University of Arizona, it is important to me to accomplish some projects before I leave the nest. It is likewise important for my current Careers in Music class, which preps for those interested in pursuing music in some velocity.
So, for starters, I am starting weekly blog posts about my projects for the remainder of this semester. You, luckily, have found my first one. . . .
Ultimately wanting to pursue a career in the entertainment law industry, I would love to learn more about the basics of creating legal contracts for entertainers (musicians) followed by the execution of a benefit concert with proceeds going to SAI Philanthropies, Inc at the Fred Fox School of Music at The University of Arizona here in Tucson.

This past week has been the beginning process.
I have briefly done online research and notes that I have previously taken in a Recording Productions class to gain some information on how to properly write a contract. Now, not to bore many of you, but contracts are basically written, legal agreements among people working together. As of this far, I have created some pleading paper and brainstormed.
The rooms for the benefit concert have been reserved in the School of Music and a registration form is under way to be launched in two weeks. So exciting!
That said, I hope next week proves to be a bit more exciting with a bit more planning under my belt. Here’s to the future, my friends!
